Artificial intelligence—synthesizing, recognizing and inferring information developed by machines. It’s the simulation of human intelligence, except it’s only gotten smarter. Students in middle school, high school, and college have used AI websites to generate them homework answers, essays, anything you could think of.

ChatGPT is an AI website developed by OpenAI which is an advanced language model. Recently, it has taken over the lives of many students and adults. You can ask it how to make money, how to obtain good study habits, how to write an English essay, how to start a successful business, anything you could think of it will give you an answer. In order to create a more developed and longer answer from the AI, you would have to add specific details about what you want. Most adults nowadays use ChatGPT or any other website that can generate a simple email for them because they’re too lazy to type one. It’s a world of copy and paste. AI tools are not all so successful—most of the time when multiple students ask the same question to one AI generator, it gives them the same answer but with two or three sentences switched around or deleted. It would be way easier to catch plagiarism if a teacher was proofreading these responses or homework answers. Apps such as Photomath, Mathway, Socratic are all AI tools to help with math related homework. AI generators can’t think outside the box, and they cannot replace the brains of human intelligence.
