What gets me through life are my friends! I know usually everyone chooses their friends as a way for them to get through life but I mean if a lot of people believe so, why not me too! For me, my friends are the best people to joke around with and overall just have fun. Of course, there are some friends that I trust enough to talk to about serious situations like emotional issues or family or even other people that might have not been the best for me. These friends always manage to make me feel better or even help me find a solution to my problem. I’ve been through a lot of friends and I do know that friends come and go but even though sometimes I know they might not be my friends forever..I know at the very least that they’ll have my back during our friendship and that I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts. Honestly, another thing about friends is that they’ll end up seeing everything you do like when you’re lovesick over a guy or girl, and they’ll definitely see you cry at some point. They’re people I can trust, love, and overall be myself around. I know that a lot of people including me have to act a certain way in front of adults or family but with friends, you can be comfortable. I mean you have friends around for a reason right? They’re there so we can all have fun together.

A few years ago I wasn’t in the best mental state if you know what I mean the cause of it, funny enough was toxic friends. One of the reasons why I got through that situation and that I’m still here today is because of these two friends who never left my side and made sure I was doing okay every day. I knew it must have been tiring for all of us but now we’re still friends to this day. They supported me the most during this time even when my parents didn’t put their full support towards me yet they stayed until the very end. Without them, I don’t think I could have made it past 2020. This is why my friends are so important to me. I know my two friends won’t see this but I just want to say thank you to them and that it brought me into tears as I think about that time.

A photo of us supporting each other, we were there for some of my friends’ singing competition!
