My life revolves around my eyes. Whether I am playing sports, surfing, or just living; everything I do is because of my eyes. But the most important part that I use my eyes for is capturing moments in time. I believe that the reason humans are on this earth is to live our best lives and squeeze out as much happiness as we can in our short time frame. Just imagine a life without eyes. I would never be able to see the people I love or experience the things I love to do. I truly feel like eyes connect our hearts to the happiness that earth has to offer. Without them our hearts would be cut off from happiness. I want you to consider life without your eyes for one minute. Complete darkness would be the first thing that comes to my mind. Followed by echoing voices from people I can’t see. This wouldn’t even be the worst part. The coming days would be filled with learning to cope with the idea that I am not able to see. The idea of not seeing the people that I love and the things that I love to do would scare me to death. Now that I think about it, we take our eyes for granted everyday. I think that everyone reading this would go insane everyday of their lives if it was filled with complete darkness. I know for a fact that living would be absolute torture if I was not able to capture the moments that make life, livable. All in all I think that vision is such a simple thing that we overlook everyday of our lives. Everything we do involves our vision and I think it would be foolish of us not to think for one moment how bad our lives would be without it. I hope everyone reading this blog considers how lucky they are to see and understands that a life without vision is one that would be filled with sorrow.
