Sports Injuries

A sports injury is probably one of the worst things a person can go through mentally and physically. Especially when it was a huge injury because it takes time to heal. The transition from being a starter to being a bench player is very hard because all you want to do is get out there and play your sport again. But all you can do is sit on the sidelines watching your teammates play and you are not able to join them and have fun. This can really ruin you mentally because you will be hard on yourself to be better and to get better. Every practice you have after your injury will always be the hardest. You have to regain all of the hard work you put in and try to catch up. Even though you try with all your power you will never be truly healed. You will always feel down and not as strong as you were before. It takes a lot for a person to put trust in themselves to take things slow but also be better than themselves and the people around them. I know this because I tore my acl and it’s been a 1 and a half. I still feel uneasiness on my leg and I can’t give my 100 because I am scared to tear it again. I don’t think I will be able to go through that much pain again. For that reason itself I have to work harder to accomplish my goals. I Because when we are out there playing, your greatest enemy is yourself.
