The Beauty of God’s Art

Being a sophomore, there are times when life gets challenging. I’m balancing my school work, sports, and social life. However, all these challenges are inevitable. It comes with being a high school student.

Something that keeps me going is knowing that there’s tomorrow. We should take each thing day by day. If we have a terrible day today, there’s tomorrow to improve and have a better day.

By the time the day comes to an end, you’re probably feeling exhausted and done with everything. To be completely honest, I feel this constantly. I don’t want to see a single math problem, write another sentence, wash a single dish, etc. But, this is all a part of life.

One day while scrolling on social media, I saw a post that really resonated with me. The post said, “Maybe God made sunsets beautiful because He wants us to see the beauty in things coming to an end”

Before I even found this quote, I loved watching the sunset. It was something that I looked forward to every evening. However, this quote gave me a whole new perspective, and watching the sunset a whole new meaning.

When I get home from a long day of school and practice, it’s probably 6 p.m. I eat dinner, hang out with my family for a little while, and then the sun sets! I glance out the window and see the sky painted with beautiful, vibrant colors. Seeing this view reminds me of this quote which motivates me to finish the day out strong. We just reached the end of the day and got to live another day on Earth.

As life continues, I need to remember to take things little by little, day by day. The sun setting is a beautiful reminder to acknowledge that you just reached the end of another day. With that being said, I need to stay motivated and finish out the day strong. Hopefully, by 11:59 p.m. you have accomplished everything you needed, and get to sleep peacefully knowing that you had a productive day. Now when you wake up tomorrow, there will be a beautiful sunrise for you to start out the day! Then, the cycle repeats…
