As school and personal work piles up against you, you will gain more stress. The way I get through life with this stress is by sleeping. After a long day of school, sports, and homework, you become both mentally and physically exhausted. The best thing you can do for yourself when you are this drained is to get a good night’s rest. I find sleeping very relaxing for my mind and body. When being in deep sleep I often let go of my stress and problems that affected me so heavily. Sleeping allows me to escape from my reality and stress, giving me a chance to relax.

Having a good amount of sleep is healthy for you and allows you to function throughout the day without feeling fatigued. It also rejuvenates your mind by refreshing your mentality and motivation every morning. Without sleep, you are prone to make small errors that you would normally not do. You also would not be able to perform to your potential physically and mentally.
However, this work will eventually start cutting away at your precious sleeping hours when you simply cannot find the time to do it. This may be due to procrastination which is a common problem that almost everyone faces. High schoolers are faced with so much homework where they are forced to stay up late or wake up early by having less sleep. This causes them to have to catch up during the weekend only for their cycle to restart all over again. Sleep is important to your body and should not be something deprived of.
