Without my pets I wouldn’t survive. Whenever I get home my dog, Dozer welcomes me with slobbery “kisses”, and begs for a belly rub. Dozer is a husky pit bull mix whose name was made because he loves to sleep/ doze off and he loves to dig. In total I have four pets, one dog and three cats. When I get home my cats don’t seem to notice me until they realize the petting they could persuade me into giving them. My three cats, named oldest to youngest, are Stella, Robot, and the new addition to our family, Gypsy.
While at work my dad saw a kitten on the road, Gypsy, who had been abandoned. When we took her in there was a bit of a struggle because she didn’t put that much trust in us, but as we cared for her she felt more at ease. We originally planned to foster Gypsy and give her to someone else who would care for her, but the longer we kept her the more impossible it seemed to see her leave us so soon, so we decided to keep her. Whenever I am bored I can rely on Gypsy to get into a happier and more productive mood.

The story behind my other cats Robot and Stella is Robot was received from my grandmother’s cat’s litter. I had no clue what to name her when we got her, as I was around five years old at the time. When my dad recommended names to me I just thought that Robot had sounded cool so I had stuck with it. Robot is the chillest cat you will ever meet that just loves to be a pet. We have been needing to put her on a diet because she is overweight. We sometimes find her trying to eat our dog’s food which is a problem. Stella was added to our family with my step-mom. Stella is the polar opposite from Robot except for the overweight part. She is always grumpy, never wants to hang around the house and never wants to be pet.
It’s safe to say that if I were without my pets I would not make it very far. Without the warm cuddles of my dog or the low purrs of my cats it would be much more difficult to find a way to cure my boredom, through the stresses of life that are given daily.
