Desperation can lead to many things

Something you want so desperately can ultimately lead to depression and sadness. If you strive for something so desperately in your life that at some point it seems unachievable, eventually you will become led to do something you could never imagine yourself actually doing.

In school, when people get too desperate for an answer, they often rely on a friend or teacher for help, but some resort to pure plagiarism.  Some may say plagiarism is simply like the fact that “nothing has yet been said that’s not been said before”, and although it may be somewhat true, plagiarism has many consequences.  Just like plagiarism, being too desperate comes with many consequences.  In the play “Othello”, Rodrigo was used by Iago to benefit himself because he saw how desperate Rodrigo was for Desdemona. Rodrigo’s biggest weakness was desperation, and in the play he calls out Iago for a moment, saying,  “I take it much unkindly That thou, Iago, who hast had my purse As if the strings were thin, shouldst know of this”.  In other words, Rodrigo rants about how Iago used him to get his fortune and has betrayed him.  Desperation can affect who you surround yourself with and can ultimately affect your everyday life just like Rodrigo in the play “Othello”.  Desperation is another word for something you strive for, it may come with different outcomes like achieving something you really truly desire or take a complete turn on you and have a negative impact on yourself.  People who are insanely desperate will have a terrible mental mindset and may need to seek therapy eventually.
