There are many ways to not give up. Many people think that just because you are not able to do it means that you are able to just give up. But for many, including myself, giving up is not an option. There are many ways to not give up but for some if you don’t get what you want then you might make some wrong decisions like Iago from the play Othello by William Shakespeare. But if you never give up you will get the results that you wanted like the guy who kept calling the Mojave phone booth. 

First of all we will begin with how not giving up will lead to some bad decisions. One example of this would be from a play by William Shakespeare. In the play Othello, Igao, one of Othello’s friends, wanted to be the head lieutenant. Othello originally gave the lieutenant ship to Cassio which made Igao mad and made him want to get the job even more saying “Despise me If I do not. Three great ones of the city, In personal suit to make me his lieutenant, Off-capped to him; and, by the faith of man, I know my price, I am worth no worse a place.” According to this scene after learning he did not get the job he is furious and says that he is better off at a different place.

Then I will talk about how not giving up will lead to the results you wanted. For example when we listened to the podcast about the mojave phone booth he never gave up and finally someone had picked up. After telling people more people began to call the phone booth people from all over the world. Another example would be me never giving up on anything. When I want something I always try my best to get what I want. A good example of this would be the fact that I was able to be on varsity my freshman year as a wrestler.

Overall, there are many reasons not to give up. When you don’t give up you can almost always get the results you want. Like the guy from the Mojave phone booth, but there are times you should control how much you want a certain thing or you’ll end up making some bad choices like Iago from Othello. Are you the type of person that will give up when things get hard or will you be the one to never give up?
