How to find a trustworthy friend

You might think someone is your friend when in reality they are not. It’s hard finding a trustworthy friend but once you find one your life will be much easier. An example of this was in 5th grade when I first moved to this new middle school I didn’t know anyone. But I found a few people to talk to such as Joel. He was inside my English and Pe class. We found lots of things we had in common such as we both liked video games and both liked to play soccer. We would always hang out at lunch and after we eat we would go play soccer together at school. This is a real example of a trustworthy friend, not a friend who uses you. Till this day me and Joel still talk and hangout.

An example in Othello of not a trustworthy friend is Iago. Iago had used Cassio, Roderigo, Othello, and even his wife Emila. Iago said lies to Othello about Cassio so he can just get a better job. A lie Iago said about Cassio that Cassio was cheating with your wife by Iago making places for Cassio to meet Othello’s wife for it to look like they are cheating and that would upset Othello. This would look bad for Cassio and lead to Cassio getting killed just because a lie that Iago said to get a higher job that’s not what a trustworthy friend would do. Instead a trustworthy friend would say good things about you but not lies.

Now the real question on how to find a trustworthy friend. First if your friend tells you the truth and doesn’t lie to you. Then if you feel like they are not using you and really want to be your friend, if they are always there for you, if they always help and don’t talk behind your back. Lastly if you can trust this person they are a trustworthy friend. An example would be inside the podcast “The Mojave Phone Booth” a guy kept calling a phone booth in a random desert until a random woman picked up. They never knew each other but ended up becoming friends and talking to each other a lot.
