Mind manipulation will always be associated with sinful intentions but what if we just repurposed the saying into contravince? Contravince, meaning the act of intentionally arranging for something to happen by clever planning. But renaming manipulation wont stop us from thinking of that one friend, so let’s shift our attention to Lidow and his statements on teachers: “Because we remember ideas and concepts better when they are attached to emotional experiences, great teachers often use manipulation to get their students to want to learn and to remember their lessons.” Contravincing solely operates on one’s emotions because that is how humans identify with one another. Most educators don’t have any evil goals and students are very influenced by what they are surrounded by. They connect the curriculum to our everyday lives, integrating the lessons into our head. How? By linking them with topics younger people are familiar with, getting to our emotions. Another example could be a salesperson. Their techniques are labeled as “persuasive” but honestly that word is just a decorative wrapping to the gift manipulation. Although they are just doing their jobs I believe that some people really want to benefit their “victim”.

Now that we know our weakness, let’s use that to our advantage. Present yourself as the most trustworthy and reliable person there is. But of course, follow through your words. I believe that saying “false prophecies” is just another item on your to do list. Self manipulating is another form of manifesting what you believe could be. Create the idea of what you want to be in other people’s heads and blend into that picture.

Even if you believe your intentions are good, don’t get too ahead of yourself. Think before you speak and always consider other methods of manifesting. Respect people boundaries and be cautious.
