Are people so easy to manipulate? Always people just use each other to get whatever they want. Taking advantage of their friends like Iago trying to get a promotion as he said: “one gender of herbs or distract it with many, either to have it sterile with idleness or manured with industry, why the power and corrigible authority of this lies in our wills.” trying to make his rival’s problem worse by giving some fake advice so he could clear him out of the way so he can take the top position.
Another example is in the song Shoes by Lupe Fiasco quote “Permanent villains go about chillin’ they psychic fights.” meaning that bad people cause unnecessary fights. Making problems like Iago as he wanted to cause a problem for Cassio by having Roderigo make a drunk Cassio mad and cause a fight in a bar. Iago has also lied to not his boss’s wife, his own wife (I think), his own boss. Plus leaving his friend to fend for himself like leaving Roderigo while he was in trouble with Brabantio.
As William Shakesphere once said “My heart all whole as thine, thy heart my wound. For one sweet look thy help I would assure thee.” This means that when Cassio or Desdemona (How on earth do you spell these names) were at their lowest point. Iago came to the picture and ended up making things worse for them, often spreading lies, and giving false advice. This led to both Iagos’ and Desdemona’s deaths. I guess it’s true karma always comes back to bite you.
So after reading all of this what have you learned? That people have issues. People can cause a lot of problems as they try to solve them. Or how everyone has society anxiety. All and all what I learned now is that people can mess with your head and I think that was the moral of the story, Othello is to be careful of each other and being honest with each other.
