If you don’t know how to fight and you’ve never been in a fight before you’re in the right place. If you’re in high school and you’re walking around the cafeteria and someone thinks you owe them money. You can do one of two things: either give them the money you don’t have, or you make sure they won’t mistake you for someone else again. First thing to figure out is how big the opponent is, usually the smaller the easier but in some cases smaller beats bigger. If you know your opponent is going to throw the first move let them do it and counter but if you’re not sure you can counter like that you should probably throw before you get knocked out.
If you have information on who you’re about to fight and know there is a wrestler you should probably try to keep distance and use more striking in the battle. When fighting a wrestler it doesn’t matter if you’re bigger or smaller but if they try to take you down and you can’t keep distance you’re probably getting slammed. In order to keep distance against a smaller bulkier opponent you should just use a simple jab to back them off of you and if you have a longer length yer build you can maybe use some crosses, but stick to the good stuff for now. If you’re smaller and have to fight a taller opponent you have to first gauge your distance and see how strong they are. If they are too big and powerful for you you should get the first hit and run but that’s only if you’re faster than the other person.
Lastly if you’re the same size as the other person and there isn’t an advantage but both of you don’t know how to fight, simply just ask a friend for help if they’re near you but if not you don’t want to wait and see what the other person can do. So you should use a feint and if they throw something you react with an overhand or a kick if you’re quick like that.
