Friends mean a lot to many and it’s very important that people have companions in their lives. It doesn’t mean that you should be too attached to them because it can lead to many problems that are very difficult to deal with. For example, disbanding from friend groups, intense arguments that can last for hours, and hurting each other physically and emotionally. Sometimes there are cases where the friends might want to leave you without reason and it can be difficult to understand why they suddenly don’t want to be around you or each other. What that means is that they may want some alone time to themselves or they just don’t feel like a good friend to you. A good friend would always stay by your side and try their best to cheer you up no matter what. A bad friend would simply ditch you after a day and not even talk to you even though you did nothing wrong. 

There are many stories people tell about friendship and valuables things you can find from friends. Stories like “Othello” by William Shakespeare. In the play “Othello” there is loyal friendship and betrayal. According to the play, it showed how the right-hand man of a Venetian general pretended to loyally serve the general, but in reality, he is only serving himself. By doing so he manipulates the general and a fellow rich man whom he is currently working with to gain fortune and wealth all to himself. This is a good example of what a good friend would not do. Another example would be that one of the characters in the play pretends to be a good friend to the general while secretly working with another friend to help get rid of the general. This shows that not all of your friends are good in the inside. They can also make you vulnerable to many of their tricks and obstacles. 

Aside from how horrible some friends can be, there are still other good people you can find in the world and make friends with them. Friends are only there to aid you when you need them, but they’re not biologically related so try not to be too attached and dependent on them because they’ll take advantage of you like the characters in Shakespeare’s play. Having friends is something that people should be grateful for because they are people who work together with you along your journey.
