Surrealistic Dreams

The Unusual Lamp

It’s a normal Sunday night for Jack. He just finished his homework and was getting ready for bed. Once he got into bed he turned on his lamp, and noticed it looked unusual. Was it too long? No. Was it a little fuzzy looking? No. Huh, what could it possibly be? Jack just shrugged it off, and decided to go to sleep. The next morning was when things started to get weird. He woke up to no noise whatsoever. Not even the birds that chirp in the morning. Not even the sounds of his mom making toast and bacon. Not even the sound of his father brushing his teeth. Jack got up and immediately rushed to his window and looked out. The houses in his neighborhood all resembled the lamp he saw last night. The streetlights and street lamps seemed longer than usual.

Jack rushed downstairs to ask his parents what was going on, but he could not find them. This was strange since both of his parents’ cars are still in the garage. Jack ran outside and got into his car and drove around. Everything looked the same as usual except there was just something off about it. Like the smallest details were wrong. Not knowing what to do, Jack went back to his house and tried to start up some video games. Nothing worked though. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? WHAT IS GOING ON. With nothing to do, Jack sat back down on his bed and stared at his usual but unusual lamp. It finally crossed his mind: “Was this punishment for what I did to Ivan earlier…?”

Coast to Coast

(Here with me – d4vd and double take – dhruv)

“Watch the sunrise along the coast as we’re both getting old.” This was a morning ritual for both Kevin and Hannah. Buying the beach house was the best choice that Kevin has ever made. He pondered for days on days. Only 750k. A steal. Is this needed? He wanted to surprise his wife who was the apple of his eye. She was the light at the end of the tunnel for him. Yes. This is needed. On the day he brought his wife to the beach house, she was as happy as a child with a new toy. “In the midst of the crowds, in the shapes in the clouds, I don’t see anybody like you.”

A Strange and Weird Day

WHADDUPPPP JONES! That’s the first thing I hear as I am heading into the bus. Yooooo, wassup DJ. Are you ready for school? I did not get to answer that question. BOOM! BOOM! The school bus exploded as there was a whirlpool above in the sky. Time seemed to stop as mysterious creatures started to emerge through the whirlpools. Huge giant dinosaurs and wooly mammoths started to spawn into the world. Nothing normal made sense anymore. How did any of these animals come back to the world?

Huh?? Where am I? Why is there grass everywhere?? I got up and started to look around. There was my broken school bus and I saw everyone laying on the ground. I was bleeding from my head, and my jeans were ripped. Is anyone alive?! DJ, are you good!? I ran towards him and saw he was still breathing. Phew. He’s still alive. I looked around at the environment I was currently in. There were huge trees with a swamp nearby. Suddenly, it clicked in my head.

Am I back in the lands of the dinosaurs…?

Superpowers

(Superpowers by Daniel Caesar and ball w/o you by 21 Savage)

“Oh, you got powers, superpowers. Do you even know how to wield them?” said John. John was a samurai for the Johzen clan, and his apprentice Sean was just learning how to become one. John saw great potential in Sean, as he had never seen a youngling master a weapon so quickly. The sword was fluid with Sean, almost as if it was an extension of his own arm. John and Sean go on missions throughout the country together, and they learn to trust and depend on each other. Eventually they become the most feared and powerful samurai duo in the country of Japan. No one dared to go against them, since it seemed as if God had sent his most powerful angels to defend his clan.

Unknown to Sean, who now is over 20 years old, John had a sickness that would eventually kill him. John did not want Sean to know about this and kept it as a secret. On the day of John’s death, there was a solemn mood from Sean. A warrior who has killed all his emotions finally sheds a tear for his master and brother. “I gave you my all. You was my dawg. I would’ve went to war with the world on your call.”

Abandoned

Two siblings, a brother and a sister, left alone in the woods. The children had disobeyed their parents, and they could not take it anymore. The parents gave the children a good home to stay at, and food on the table. The children went overboard and disobeyed the one thing that their parents told them not to do. After this happened, the parents drove the children out into the woods and told them to go pick up some flowers for the parents. The children obeyed, and went out of the car to grab some flowers, but their parents drove off and left them there. Not knowing what to do, the older brother took care of his younger sister.

The older brother had to go find food and shelter for his sister. After hours of searching and wandering around, the siblings finally found a cave to take shelter in as it started to rain. Although the future is looking bleak for the siblings, the other brother starts to pray and asks God to help him throughout his struggle. Suddenly, the rain stops. A rainbow flashes throughout the sky.

To the Sky

Is there a reason dusk and dawn look alike?

Or is the sky just all the same

Everyone appreciates dusk and dawn

But does everyone appreciate day and night

People may say I love the day

Or I love the night

But do they say they love everyday

It is a blessing to be alive to breathe every single day

Take a second to take in everything and be happy that you are present.
