The Floor is lava
(Narrator: Boy in the photo)
One day I woke up and my bed was wet( I didn’t pee myself). It turns out we suffered a massive flood and the worst part of it was school wasn’t canceled. I quickly put on my uniform and prepared myself food for the walk to school. I decided to put on my slides to school because I didn’t want to get my nice shoes wet. I then helped my father set out milk baskets around the house so I could walk to school without touching the water. This reminded me of when I would play with my friends. The floor is lava and I do my best to not touch the water. I finally then left home and went on my journey to school only to discover that I ran out of milk baskets. I am now stuck and waiting for a boat to come pick me up and drop me off to school.
Words of wisdom

I am a family of 7. 3 sisters and 1 brother. Mom and Dad. We do with what we have and do what we have to do. Coming from a family of 7 is difficult; sometimes we have to sacrifice ourselves to earn a little more. Working with your dad is different from the average thing teenagers do. But It’s what I did, and the learning experience from hits is different at a young age than any other. Growing up me and my brother would go to work while my sisters stayed home. I always thought this was unfair and complained until my mom spoke to me after I had an outburst about that topic.
Me: “MOM WHY DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO WORK AND MY SISTERS STAY HOME”
Mom: “Nino be quiet and sit. Luego we talk please eat right now”
Me: Does Not finish my food and heads to my room
Mom: Opens the door and sits on my bed. “Sometimes un hombre has to be the man of the house and provide for the family, that is what your dad does for us and you helping him is necessary for all of us. It also gives you experience for your future even if this isn’t what you will do.”
Me: Crying “Why can’t my sisters help along instead of me”
Mom: “Tus hermanas. They are young and don’t work because they are women. There’s a physical difference between both of you. I’m not saying that a woman can do what a man can. Obviously, women are better 😏”
Me: Laughs
Mom: “The girls aren’t just sitting down the whole time, they help me clean the house and make the food. Obviously, we don’t have a maid to cook the food, we’re too broke for that”
Me: “True 😭”
Mom: In English “We all do something in this familia to support one another and we are thankful for what we all sacrifice”
Odd one out
(Staring me, my sister, Mother, and sister Mary)
It was a stormy day, the skies dark and gray, the rain falling like arrows. The bell rang and everyone was getting ready to head home except me. My parents had always arrived late because of work so I would stay with my sister.
“Do you know what time Mom said she would come pick us up?” I asked my sister.
“No clue lets just head to Sister Mary’s class and do some homework while we wait”
While we waited we did our homework and the time finally came and our mother arrived.
“Hello Sister Mary, How are you?” my mother said.
“I am good, are you here to pick up your daughter?”
“Yes, I am but also my son. Is he here?”
In awe “You mean him?” while pointing at me. “I didn’t know you guys were related. Are you adopted?”
“NO” I said
My mom explained to her that I was just a little darker than everyone in the family. My sister is very pale and is shorter than I am. She has lighter skin and I have darker skin. She has straight hair and I have curly hair. Where do the differences end between the both of us? The differences on the outside weren’t what made us siblings, it was the similarities on the inside of who we were. Me and my sister are like twins, mischievous and exuberant. I guess her and I were not so different after all.
Clouded Emotions

“I get lonely when you’re not here3
And this darkness appears, leaving me stranded”
Who am I when you’re not around
My whole world shuts down and I fall to the ground
“There’s a million things
There’s a million things I could say”
But never found the courage to say how I feel
When looking into your eyes all I see is my dreams come true
“But you never really knew that
But you never really knew I felt this way”
Always carried feelings for you
but you never knew, feeling so empty
“Another day losing sleep over bad nights”
“Don’t keep your feelings to yourself”

- Newport Pier: There are a lot of ice cream stores around that area. Fishing there is amazing and not as crowded as and Huntington Beach
Stores
- H&M: Good quality clothing for low prices and also a nice place to go with friends and shop at
- Aeropostale: Always have sales and their carpenter pants are amazing
These are a few Places Of Intrests that I have been to and want to share. My favorite one was going to Seal Beach Pier and watching the sunset over the city.
