Lost in the Car
Image
I don’t remember this very well, but I’m almost certain that on a Halloween night me and my cousin ran with our treats into our aunt’s car. We were like little bandits trying to get away with a full stomach’s worth of candy. We chatted, we played on our iPod, and we feasted on the candy we had run away with. The car wasn’t far – our parents thought we could be anywhere. After what seemed like an hour we heard the blaring of sirens like the call of a whistle to call us in from lunch back then. We knew we were in deep…, but what could we do? We decided it would be best if we left our aunt’s car. As we entered the house we were met by worried eyes that turned to frustration and a barrage of yelling like a soundless whisper yet incredibly loud.
Snare Frisbee

It was my birthday. I will probably always remember this one. Besides the fact that it was my birthday our marching had its final competition. We packed and left on the bus. It was as fun as usual. The bus always got rowdy… I didn’t think anyone had known it was my birthday but then… As we left campus everyone started to sing happy birthday and it was so nice to have all of my band friends to hang out with for my birthday. I always love marching band competitions. You get to hear the wonderful music being played from bands of all sizes. Once we arrived at the college that was hosting we had delicious home cooked food served from the band parents which already made my day. After chatting a bit with my friends–we discovered a broken snare drum! Luckily it was a small part missing and there were replacements. But the broken snare disc was perfect. We played what seemed like the whole day playing Frisbee, it was perfect.
Water Forts

Before my cousin had moved to Oceanside we did so many things. The thing I remember most was building water forts and pillow forts. So pillow forts are obvious; those were always fun because they came with the bonus pillow fights which usually got someone hurt were still fun. Water forts were our twist to the pillow fort where you make poles with chairs or poles outside similar to a pillow fort but instead of using blankets for the roof you use tarp instead. On the tarp we usually would place a hose on the top of the tarp so that water flows over the entrances and it makes a lot of waterfalls. This is something me and my cousin did a lot before he moved. We always did this when it was a hot day.
To Sanoma We Go

Our trip to Sanoma was quite the experience. A seven hour bus drive there coupled with too much fun in a week than a person can handle in a month was more than I could ask for. This trip was for a band and was fun as all band trips are. I never really care about the location we go to, it’s more about just being with my weird fellow band kids. I have the motivation to get the pump with my boys, I could play video games with my other boys, or we can play card games. The first time we left the hotel was when we went to the bowling alley. It was fun, got some strikes and beat some of my other friends who thought for sure they would beat me. On our way out we played a punching game to test your strength. One of the seniors got an 850, another got an 834 and I wanted to try. My punch was very weak. I only got a 764 and what felt like a broken hand. After our main event, the concert, we started packing our bags for our return trip back to SoCal. On our way back we saw the Golden Gate and some seals. All in all a good experience, just sad that our seniors would soon leave.
The Build Begins

I have built and upgraded a computer on my own–sort of. So my dad wanted me to learn how to build a computer so he started collecting parts for me. When I finally had all of the parts necessary for my computer he called over his cousin, my uncle over so I could have someone of experience help me understand the basics. It went well, it was pretty simple and I learned a lot from what he taught. More recently however I have sought to upgrade my computer so I have been asking for certain parts from my dad and mom and they got them for me. After this my dad called his cousin again. This time was different because instead of us both working on the computer he wanted me to sit back while he worked on the computer. I was sort of frustrated but I also understood that he could have something else to do. But at the same time I really wanted to learn more about building computers.
