Insecurities to Love

I always hated everything about myself. My hair, my name, my house, my personality. I had straight flat hair which always made me mad because I was never able to style it very well. I hated my name because it was different and did not fit my appearance. I didn’t like my house because it was small and often noisy. I hated my personality because I can tell I was annoying other people but I couldn’t stop because it was just my personality. I hated many things about myself.
When I reached around the age of 12 and became aware of the real world, I realized that I had things some people didn’t. I started realizing that some people didn’t even have a home to live in and almost froze to death on the streets. I wanted to take back what I said about what I hated but it was already said. The only thing left possible was to change my mentality and attitude. I thanked everything that happened to me because I knew that anything that hurts only makes you stronger.
Plea for Glee

As a child, I would always go shopping with my parents. I would walk around the store and look at all the toys and snacks. I always begged for these toys but my parents would never allow me to have them. This made me really sad but, as I grew up I realized that you can’t always get everything you want in life.
Despite learning this lesson, I still begged my parents for things that were totally unnecessary and I would only use once. This is because I also learned that you can’t get anything if you haven’t tried.
The Flash
During a summer even years ago, My cousin and I were playing hide and seek at my grandma’s house. The floor was wet after my Grandma finished mopping. 10, 9, 8, 7, … the hunt was about to start. I ran full speed around the entire house looking for a spot that would secure the win. Until my socks didn’t grip onto the wet glossy floor. I flew face first into a glass display case and cut up my entire face up. The last things I saw was red and white lights flashing then everything went black. Next thing I knew was that I ended up in the hospital. Bright lights blinding my eyes. Everything happened so fast I wasn’t wasn’t even able to comprehend what happened.

Stating Little Eyes.
The clock struck 12. “I need to finish this assignment,” Sarah thought as she furiously scribbled down random words. She had so much homework to go this night that it never seemed to end. Her eyes flickering and struggling to stay open. But then suddenly, she heard little clicks running across the floorboards. In the corner of her eye, she saw a tiny little furry creature peeking out from the closet. Sarah turned her head toward her closet and let out a deafening shriek.

Helping others
Every time my dad sees a person in need, he always tries to give them something. Whether it is food or money. He understands what it feels like to be in their position. When my dad first came to America from Vietnam, he didn’t have anything because he lost it all during the Vietnam War. He worked many jobs while in school just so he was able to survive. He went to college and degree. That was when his life turned around. He was able to secure a stable and well-paying job.
