Never Grow Up
Oh, darlin’, don’t you ever grow up
Don’t you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh, darlin’, don’t you ever grow up
Don’t you ever grow up
It could stay this simple
This song called Never Grow Up, was written by Taylor Swift. It is a song dedicated to her younger self to enjoy her childhood and “stay young forever.” This song truely is so special to me because it’s the song that my mom introduced to me when I was little. Whenever we hear the song on the radio we get so excited because we know this is our song. A core memory me and my mom share is only found out that our surprise song at the Eras tour concert was “Never Grow Up.” We were so shocked and could not believe it. my mom always says “Taylor knew we were coming!” My mom said this was her favorite song because she wanted me to stay this little and innocent forever, even though all I wanted to do when I was young was to grow up.
Oh, I don’t wanna grow up
Wish I’d never grown up
Could still be little
Oh, I don’t wanna grow up
Wish I’d never grown up
It could still be simple
The Therapist Friend
I’ve been drained out. That’s what most people say when they’re caught up in school or work, but that’s not the case for me. I’ve been drained out in my friendships. I try to please people constantly so that I forget take care of myself. While this seems to be a good trait to have as a friend, it wears you out. The friend group gets into an argument, both sides are texting you separately about it, asking over and over, “you’re on my side right.” “ Of course I am!” I answer, sending that text to do a different sides of an argument. Why can’t others just resolve their issues without getting me in the middle. No I do not want to talk about your problems, for once I want to talk about mine. I’m your friend, not your therapist.

Being a Girl
She is a girl, she is not as strong as the boys.
She is a girl, she must to be polite
She is a girl, shes unathletic
She is a girl, she can never react, she can only overreact.
She is a girl, the way she is sitting is not lady-like
She is a girl, she is misunderstood, unvalued, and always overlooked
Born This Way
I’m beautiful in my way ’cause God makes no mistakes
I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way
Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself, and you’re set
I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way (born this way)
This song “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga is a song that she wrote for those who feel as if they are not good enough, as she once did. I love this song because it really is empowering and a good reminder for anybody to know that they are where they are supposed to be and should never be ashamed of who they are. A lot of people especially in this generation compare themselves to others in question why they don’t look like that. whether it’s an insecurity about your looks, or your body, or your personality, Lady Gaga really did want us to know that God makes no mistakes and that we were brought on to Earth for a reason. this song also helps if you feel alone and you’re insecurities, and I love how she spoke out about it when others were afraid to.
Don’t be a drag, just be a queen
Whether you’re broke or evergreen
You’re Black, white, beige, chola descent
You’re Lebanese, you’re Orient’
Whether life’s disabilities left you outcast, bullied, or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
‘Cause, baby, you were born this way

Morning Routine
I wake up, I brush my teeth and wash my face, I fix my hair and add some makeup, I pick out an outfit, pack my bag and leave. The next day, same thing. I wake up, I brush my teeth and wash my face, I fix my hair and add some makeup, I pick out outfit, pack my bag and leave. I do this the next day, and the next day, and the next. We are at that point in the school year where we are all drained out and tired. Nothing new is happening, and everyday feels the same. When you wake up in the morning you dread getting up, and going to school. All I want to do is sleep.
