Something that shapes the person I am is baseball. I’ve been playing since I was four years old, and it’s changed my life completely. When I’m on the field, something is different. I’m more relaxed, motivated, and overall I’m happier. I enjoy cheering on my teammates and supporting them. Baseball is the one thing that I look forward to everyday, and I’ve always noticed my mood shifts each time I step on the dirt. During bad days, seeing all my boys at the field helps me let go of any things that were bothering me. While baseball can sometimes give me mixed emotions, as it’s a sport of failure, it’s part of my identity. It represents my character and my strong work ethic. Without baseball, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. It’s shaped me as a person and my identity.c. Without baseball, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. It’s shaped me as a person and my identity.
I would always see this one kid at school who was always so happy and a cool person to hangout with. We took the same walk to go home everyday. It seemed like his life was perfect and nothing to worry about. We got a lot closer eventually and we would tell each other everything. We had a very serious conversation and he explained how at home he’s a totally different person then school, he’s very lonely and has no one to hangout with. He said he was scared to have no friends outside of school. It didn’t make sense to me though, I always thought he was real cool and definitely had plenty of friends. But since then I’ve realized not everything is a perfect as it seems.
There’s always that one uncle in the family that swears they were gonna be something famous like an actor or an athlete. I have one and he always tells a story of when he was an 8th grader and he won MVP over a now NFL player. I think it’s hilarious because he’s a little short guy about 5 ‘6 but pretty muscular. He talks about how big and strong he is, if i give an explanation that he would say about himself you would think he’s 6’2 300 pure muscle. Everyone that knows him is always ready for a new story every time or the same one told for the 1800000 time. His go to story all the time though is when he won MVP over a future NFL player.
