- My Mom

When I was younger my mom, and my siblings and I would always go on frequent trips to Disneyland. The magical atmosphere made Disneyland our little place to go to. As time went on the frequent trips became a significant part of my life. Just magical. I remember going on different rides. One that I remember most was the Pirates of the Caribbean. I was holding my moms hand so tightly during the ride. But my mom’s eyes shined just like a child’s. Our laughter grew louder and louder with every splash of water onto the boat. It made the adventure of the ride feel so real. As the sun set, we wrapped ourselves with a blanket, glancing upwards into the dark sky. As a burst of light just shimmers the sky, just like it painted the night sky. My mother’s imagination, love, and atmosphere brought disney to life.
2. Different but the same
In a small town at age 6 me and my sister grew up together our whole entire lives. Same age, same birthday, same room. Despite each other’s resemblance, our outlook on things were far apart from each other. Growing up in the same house and same room at a young age was quite crazy. My side of the room was always cleaned up and organized. My sister’s side of the room was inclined towards chaos and messiness. Her shelf overflowing with piles of coloring books like an overflowing pool filled so heavily. Although we were so different from each other we just learned from one another. Our contrasting personalities spilled into other aspects in our lives. Our differences in our traits is what kept us balanced. When we realized each other’s different personalities. My sister appreciated my organization, helping her sort out her chaotic life as a young girl. And I admired her embracing chaos and learning to add it into my own life as I grew older. Realizing each other’s differences brought us closer together instead of shaming each other for it. It also taught us the beauty in each other’s strengths.
3. Always be good
One day me and my family were on a walk and we were at mile square park. We fed all the squirrels. And walked by the slow ponds and calm lakes. There were kids running around and everyone was happy. We had lunch on the bright green grass by the lake with blankets, tables, and chairs. We had sandwiches with chips and a cup of juice. Peaceful. As we packed up and walked back to the car and put everything in the car. We all got in and started driving home which was a very short drive. As we went down the road for a minute or so. We stopped at the red light. We waited. While we waited there was an older lady on a wheelchair. You can tell she was really tired of how slowly she moved. When we realized my mom went out and pushed her wheelchair to the end of the crosswalk for her before the light turned green. Just in that moment we helped someone a lot.
4. Don’t take anything for granted
One time in a small village that was by hills and fields. In the village there were families living by nature. They had everything they needed to survive. They had water, fertile land, streams of water, green grass, and flowers that bloomed everyday. Life seemed normal and usual. Until one day a drought shifted to the village. The fields were dry, and the stream of water that was once there became empty. The sky changed colors sadly over the village. There was nothing left like it once used to be. The villagers discovered the reality of what they used to have and how it could change so fast. They discovered to not take anything for granted. They still lived in this hard time. As it was gloomy, dry, sad. One day rain poured down over the village like heavy tears. As the rain came the village’s flowers blossomed, and painted a painting on the sky. They learned the lesson of ups and downs in life, and how to not take anything for granted.
5. Echoes of Envy
In a small town where everyone knew each other. There lived a girl in one of the houses. She went to work each day. One day she was working a long shift and after a long night of work her friend was leaving also. She got in her car and started the engine. She saw her friend in her dream car. She felt a sense of jealousy and admiration. As she drove off she felt sad. Every afternoon, she would always look at her car. Her strong desire for the car made her envious. She worked harder, and harder each day. Saving everything she could to fulfill her desire. Days, Weeks, and even months passed but that didn’t stop her. She still went to work each day. On one sunny day she came to work with a shiny, new car that she has always wanted. Her commitment to her dream car she wanted paid off. She learned that she could either listen to the echoes of envy or she could’ve been determined to change it.
