A bond between people is hard to break
Lillian and Jack had been friends since they were friends since the moment they were born. On the last day of School before going to middle school, they were worried that their bond was going to break apart. They promised each other that nothing would break each other apart. The moment they got into middle school, they made new friend groups but that didn’t stop each other from hanging out with one another. Samantha was one of the girls in the popular group with blonde hair and blue eyes, both Jack and Samantha started to become friends and he started to spend less time with Lillian. They eventually started to date from 7th grade to 10th grade up until the point where Samantha started to go to parties and meet up with other boys. Jack hadn’t talked to Lillian for a while until he was at his mom’s 45th birthday party and the prettiest girl he had ever seen walked in with a couple of presents along with some other guests following beside her. Jack’s mom ran to give the lady a hug, then went to hug the girl. “Hey, Lillian! How had it been? I haven’t seen you in a while.” Jack was in shock. Wait. THAT was Lilian? He walked up to the girl who was supposedly Lilian and grabbed her bags. “It’s been a while. How have you been?” Smiled Lillian. While everyone else was eating and singing karaoke, Lillian was sitting by herself outside. Jack sat down next to her and they soon started a conversation up until Lillian had to leave. It turns out they had more in common than they had expected. “It’s my queue to leave. Cya Jack.” Waved Lillian. Jack grabbed her by her shoulder, “Want to hang out on Tuesday?”

You never know what’s going on with someone
Jack, Lillian’s friend usually was extremely playful at school playing on the monkey bars, and swinging on the swings, but soon his mood started to fade away until he became extremely closed off from everybody he knew, besides Lillian and would constantly follow her around. It was a few months before going off to middle school and he was confronted about his behavior by Lillian when he refused to play on the playground when he used to live and play with Lillian and their friends. She was extremely concerned. He denied her multiple times because he “felt sick” but that was clearly not the case anymore. He said that he has just been feeling down lately so Lillian did the best she had with the ability to make him feel better. Until the week back from spring break, he came back with black and blue bruises on his face and body. In the small town she lived in, everyone knew everybody’s business and by this time they knew that Jack’s mom’s boyfriend was a drunk. Except for Lillian. She asked him what happened, but he refused to talk about it. She kept bugging him and bugging him with no response. Until he finally snapped “I’m FINE! STOP BOTHERING ME AND GO BOTHER SOMEONE ELSE! ITS MY BUSINESS NOT YOURS!”

Helping is an act of Kindness
In the Early cracks of dawn, people were getting ready to head to work. Lillian who was headed off to her morning shift just like everyone else was walking to work this morning. As she was walking to the office, she saw a homeless man standing who was wearing a bright pink scarf walking around the street asking for money to help pay her rent because she had just lost her job. Everybody thought she was crazy or a scammer and ignored her. She actually listened to her whole story and ended up with all of the cash she had on her which was about 300$. The man cried and said one day she would pay her back. A few years go by and Lillian is trying to find a new job after her old job fired her for constantly being late. She had gotten an email one night about a company offer and they requested her to work for their company with a huge salary fee but she had to go to an interview. That Tuesday, she went to the ginormous building which was spotless and looked incredibly luxurious. There was a lady who greeted her in the doorway and seemed respected by the workers who came in. He looked familiar but she didn’t know who he was until she saw the pink scarf on the desk with a name tag on the side, “Jack”. That’s when she knew she would get the job.
There always is a need for love
It was a hot summer day when Lillian was playing soccer out in the backyard with her cousins. The soccer balls were kicked out of the neighbor’s backyard, so they argued about who would go in and ask when Lillian agreed. She was walking over to the neighbor’s house when she saw a dog on the side of the road that was matted and limping. She ignored it at first and just went to go to the neighbor’s house to pick up the ball, but when she was walking back to her house, she saw the dog still in the same spot, this time shaking. She dropped the ball and ran over to the dog to help its needs but it seemed like something was extremely wrong with it. The dog attempted to follow her into the house and she was scared the dog would infest her with rabies. She ran into the house as quickly as she could and told her mom about both the dog and soccer ball she had left outside. She was too terrified to get back outside so the mom went to go the soccer ball when she noticed the matted dog. She rushed over to get treatment for the dog and once it was tidied up, you could tell the dog was white then a murky brown color. Although Lillian was scared at first, she soon learned how to love the dog just as her own.
Don’t trust people based on how they appear on the outside.
Late at night, Lillian who has just turned 5 got lost downtown in Huntington Beach late at night when biking with her family and she got stuck staring from the window of an ice cream shop. She snapped out of it and when she looked back, nobody she knew was in sight. She was frantically searching around the area for her family but there was no hope. It was late at night, she didn’t have a phone, and she didn’t know where her parents were. Becoming Frustrated and Scared, she starts bawling on the floor. The people who pass by her look at her but don’t say a word, until a man who wears torn clothing walks up to her. He asks her about her parents but the girl realizes that it’s a homeless at first and is frightened by his presence. But he seems so worried for her that she assumes that he’s a kind man. He tells her to follow her into her van where he will drive her home. She holds his hand and goes into the van, with him seatbelting her to the back. She gives him directions on where to go back to her house until he makes a Left then a right turn. She notices but doesn’t say a thing because it might’ve been an accident until they head to the freeway. She decides to speak up, “Uh..where are we-” Someone from behind covers her face with a cloth and everything starts to fade away.
