The Whole Picture

                    “The Bridge”

The lake is glossy because of the sunlight. On a beautiful day, you can see the boat slowly bobbing up and down food everywhere, a birthday cake on the table and my friend blowing the candles out as everyone slowly finishes singing Happy Birthday. “Let’s go to the bridge,” someone shouts. Everyone is excited. They quickly put on their shoes and start walking. I slowly walk behind them, having a pit in my stomach knowing we are going to jump off the bridge. As we get there my heart starts to beat faster and faster as everyone is starting to jump. I am the only one still on the ledge looking down at the water underneath me. As my friends come up for a second time they try to tell me to jump, but I keep on looking down and seeing the far drop beneath me, every time I am so close to jumping and then I stop, the pit in my stomach shakes my body right before I jump. As I finally am about to jump  I finally get my feet off the ground and am doing it. The fall from the bridge to the water felt exactly like a rollercoaster the drop off a long uphill. I landed in the water super deep and as I swam up I got my breath and realized this was way better than I thought and continued to do it.

“The Pool”

I woke up in the middle of the night to hard rain crashing on the roof. I get up to check nothing is leaking, after I make sure everything is ok. I slowly get back into bed and fall asleep. As I wake up, I hear splashes outside and the laughter of my siblings, I rub my eyes and see my brothers jumping and splashing around in the pool the rain made. I quickly run down the stairs and out the door to jump in the pool not caring about what I’m wearing. I get a burst of excitement as I jump. Even though I was very little and not very deep, me and my siblings still had one of the best days that we have ever had. Even with a muddy pool we still found a way to make the best out of it.

“The Future You”

“If life we predictable, it would cease to be life and be without flavor.”-Elenor Roosevelt. This line really has you thinking where am I going to be in 20 years am I going to be a doctor am I gonna make enough money am I going to have kids? Every single question has an answer whether its good or bad. Life is going to move faster than you know it and you dont wanna look back in 20  years and say ” Why didn’t I do that.” You wanna say “Wow I really did that.”

“The Question”

You always hear other people saying god is real. God loves you he will never harm you. Although you believe in him you sometimes question the position you are in.”Is this really my path is this really the way I have to go, why can’t I just be like everyone else.”When you start asking questions like that you start to get angry why does it have to be you, and why can’t it be anyone else? But at the end of the day, you can’t beg enough to change what has happened. You can change how you react to it and as life goes on you get better and better but even if you are the best you still ask. Why me?

“Win or Lose”

As the bright lights lighten up the dark sky you can start to see the the football players coming out of the locker room to warm up. The sooner it gets to kickoff the more people come friends, people from your school, and people from the other school. As you are surrounded by your friends you take in the moment of everyone laughing and having a good time. Friday night lights we didn’t go there for the game whether we lost or won we came there to have a good time and support the people on the field. Friday night lights who knew an event could become the best part of your week.
