Dangerous Road Ahead: Jealousy

A person goes through a lot of emotions during their lifetime: anger, sadness, or even happiness. But one of the most difficult ones to deal with is jealousy. Another name for jealousy is fear. Fear is a factor of jealousy that everyone has to deal with. It can play mind games with you and trick you into thinking things that you don’t want to. One of the examples is that you will think that your relationship is in danger. Once when you are trapped into that illusion it is very hard to get out of it. You will then need to be able to figure out your actual nature feeling from something you think you know. What I’m trying to write is that jealousy is bad and it can take over us sometimes.

For example, when Othello found out his wife was talking to another man at first he denied it. But eventually his suspicion took over and his natural feeling was drowning. Instead of trying to talk it out and find out the truth he took it into his own hands and tried to kill the man that his wife was talking to. He immediately thought of the worst outcome from Desdemona and Casio talking. But he didn’t think of how they could just be friends.

Jealousy is a dangerous emotion that takes over even when you don’t want it to. Everyone tries to fight it but you can’t control your emotions. Jealousy can lead you to a state of vulnerability or somewhere bad you don’t want to be. Othello tried to fight it but he wasn’t able to so he soon regretted afterwards.
