“How Do Regular People See Those in Positions of Power?”

Are they gods? Are they picked by god? How are they any different from us? The answer? They’re not. They are no different from any single person you pick off the street. In Germany, it is the Kaiser. In Russia, it is the Tzar. They send their people to fight and die…for what?

Their ego. They feel the slightest disrespected or their greed covers their eyes, and their response is to send the people they’re supposed to be helping and protecting to their deaths. The only difference between them and you is their “birthright.” They didn’t work harder, they were born lucky, born powerful. And this lets them decide who to send to their death?

It shouldn’t. The people who live under these conditions need to question their leaders. A king with no people and no supporters is not a king at all. To keep them in check is to make sure they make choices that benefit the people and the country instead of fueling their own egos. If the people under the people in power questioned the orders they were given, the ones in power would be forced to think about their decisions instead of basing them on their emotions.

The people don’t need someone who wants more and more. They need someone who will protect them and make decisions in their interest. Instead of reaching for more, now, we instead need to build from what we have. War will not “save” your people, it will destroy your people and bring an end to your leadership. Peace and hard work will result in prosperity, not death and destruction.
