Generally speaking, mankind tends to be morally decent overall. But, some odds defy the moral rights and go against it for a thrive of power. Throughout history, humans have defied morals to obtain power and authority from Adolf Hitler to that one boss who controls your life and blackmails you. Humankind derives from power. Power is derived from money. Money is the main cause of stress in every country. Money changes people. With money you have power. Some morally wrong humans are that way from growing up in a bad environment. From childhood, some historical figures have faced abuse, disregardment, brainwashed by bad ideas, and abandonment. Some leaders persuade their bad ideas with propaganda. A form of media that brainwashes more of the society. Even with a line between what is morally right and wrong, humans who are persuaded into one belief can easily be manipulated into a system of power that doesn’t produce ideologies accepted by mankind. In the song American Idiot by Green Day it states “One nation controlled by the media, Information age of hysteria” which delivers a message about how propaganda and the media can form a society’s opinion on a moral being. The media and propaganda is a form of power that controls society. An example in history where a country misused the power of propaganda to further push a morally wrong belief was Germany after World War I. In Germany, the Greatest Generation in nazi germany was constantly brainwashed by nazi propaganda and just outright blame for the death of a loved one during WWI by the Allied powers. Nazi Germany implicated that the First World War was caused by the Allied Forces and they were in the wrong. Which Hitler persuaded and caused a whole generation to be morally incorrect. Hitler using his authority to force brainwashing propaganda into the young generation at the time caused a generation that sought power and hatred. In the novel All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque it states “And if you give a man a little bit of authority he behaves just the same way, he snaps at it too. The things are precisely the same. In himself man is essentially a beast” (48). This derives from the fact that authority and power can completely change a human’s act. Mankind can get focused on power and money which eventually causes a human to perform actions that are sought to be morally incorrect.
