“Every little bean must be heard as well seen.” But why must everyone be seen? Why is it important for our voices to be heard? Everyday in our lives, we encounter random thoughts, or big ideas. These little ideas in our head turn into big ideas overtime, which shapes us into the people we are today. Not only does this affect who you are, it affects the environment around you and how you choose to view your life. There are so many people living in the current world, which means people will have different opinions or perspectives on certain things. And that’s fine. Nowadays, people are so focused on “blending in” with other people that they turn into someone they don’t even know. Because of it, people are hiding their own opinions/ideas in order to continue blending in with a certain group or culture of people. Sometimes, this can be a good thing. However, many people don’t realize that it’s good to have opinions. It’s good to be different.
Being different has shaped the way we live today. For example, women rights, slave acts, and so many other historical acts have happened because people had a voice. Due to these different acts, our society has changed for the better. If it weren’t for one person to step up and let their voice be heard, our society would be completely different today. Without them, we would still be living the same life people lived in centuries ago. Just because people disagree with other’s opinions doesn’t mean that the opinion is not valid. Later on, people will recognize each other’s differences and create harmony with it. It’s important to recognize our differences and thoughts because we never know what other people are going through. The more we keep inside ourselves, the more we’re destroying ourselves. At some point, these thoughts and opinions will drain us and affect us in many negative ways. Our minds can only hold so much, at some point in time, we must learn how to use our voice.
