In nature, It’s always the strongest and most formidable animals that land on top. Whether it’s a Lion, Polar bear, or Orca, this animal hierarchy goes over many many species, while I find that there is a very clear social order in a single one. Humans. Humanity is seen as completely separate from other species. This is because of our intelligence, but there are so many other factors that make us so similar. For example the food chain. 

Children are always at the bottom of the food chain. With such little life experience, they are like a blank canvas for everyone to draw on, easily influenced. These children are always underestimated and never pushed to see their own potential, only pushed to become like everyone else and become a repeat of the last generation. As they are so much younger, they are never taken seriously, so the new ideas of the future generation are often shut down. 

Adults are at the top of the food chain, since they are taken seriously. Adults can make an impact because they are older and know how to do their taxes. But because of their age, they see younger generations as lesser than, never allowing new ideas to flow because they don’t want change. The adults dominating the social order of humanity isn’t a strange or bad thing, in fact, young people need an adult to lead them in the right direction. But not lay out a path for them. It’s good to recognize that children are the future and need the right care in order for the world to become a better place.
