WHAT MAKES US OLD?

What makes us old? there are many ways to answer this but the simplest answer would be age, right? Not really. Some adults that are in their 30s are very childish, but there’s also the fact that some kids are more mature than others making them feel old. So does maturity have an impact on age? I assume so. It makes up what our parents look like and what “Older people” would look like, they have a job, make money, pay taxes, and they don’t really goof off, and they like things that aren’t childish. They seem more mature since they have responsibilities and enjoy things that are more mechur for kids. There’s also a perspective of experience. Our parents have gone through many tragedies and deaths of others and family. Because of this they know more, they know how to handle things better, they seem “older”. In the book “All Quiet in the Western Front” they say their old men. I think they say that because they have seen more dangerous and horrendous things than others, but they are only 20 at most (which is not old). But I also think that there’s Mental age and Physical age. We could think, talk, and act like were old but we’re still 15 or 16, but then some older people could have a mental age of an actual 15 year old. So age could very person to person depending on perspective.
