Where Has All The Hope Gone?

I exhaled a sigh of relief as the final bell had rung and I started the walk home. While walking thoughts filled my head, the math test I failed, my unfinished chemistry project, and my terrible spanish pronunciation. It seemed like everything was against like I was set up to fail. The more I started to think about it, the more I started to feel hopeless, what if I just gave up, dropped out, stopped trying, skipped classes. But then I saw this purple flower out of the corner of my eye, it was growing out of the concrete. Even though all other forces were trying to stop it, it still found a way. Slowly, I thought, if a flower can continue to grow even when it’s hard, I can keep trying each and every day. Sometimes, we all just need to take a moment and remember that everyone is struggling. Everyone is on different paths and is struggling with different things. If we were all to give up, when things were hard there would be no growth, and no one would learn anything. I believe that struggling and going through challenges is an important part of life. How we deal with those challenges, helps define who we are.
