WW1 friendships

This is my answer to my essential question. In an honest opinion, I think it would depend if they were like good friends. I think even if they wouldn’t stay friends the memories of the war would always be with them where ever they go and like a scar. it’ll always be with them. hopefully most soldier kept in touch with others that were in the war with them. If I was in there place I would try my best to keep in touch with friends I made a long the way. Trying to power through. But at the same time I wouldn’t know because I wouldn’t want to make friends and watch them before my eyes and get close to them, having that trauma and not being able to live the same.

So, I did some research and this Is what I found out, Most friendships did last well beyond years. They traveled around the world for reunions. It was a lasting reminder of the bond they had once shared. They were holding fast together through all hardships, living together, and loving each other like brothers. Even in the darkest days, the soldier found joy and laughter through sport, music, games, and conversation. This sense of everything brought comfort, strength, and hope for a brighter future. Its amazing how most soldier kept in touch even after knowing what happened in the war and all the trauma and tragedies. they all had something in common. The war. Many friendships were hard to continue after war. Many friendships stayed and made new memories after the war..
