Outgrowing Passions & Interests

As a kid, everyone had something they were really passionate about or interested in. For example, drawing, singing, dancing, etc. But, when growing up, oftentimes, things slowly start drifting away. The things you once liked are like strangers, you no longer know them anymore. Drawing fun pictures to gift to your friends and families, singing out loud your favorite song in the car, or even reading books for fun is no longer something you enjoy. But… why? Why is it that the passions and interests we had as a child disappeared?

It’s well known that when people grow up, they change and become someone different. It’s true that when you grow up you start to mature and learn more about the real world, and you start to realize the truth of things. You have to be able to drop things in order to learn other things. So, the hobbies and passions that you used to love as a child will eventually die away or disappear for a while.  Sometimes you just have to let go of things. Though, letting go can be hard sometimes it’s a way to grow yourself.
