Bibble and I have been best friends ever since he moved into the teapot next door. His daily routine consists of doing his hair, playing with our other imaginary friends in the city, shopping for more hair accessories, and touching up his hair again. Bibble owns a pet chipmunk named, Billy. Billy is known for always sneaking out and doing his own thing but Bibble doesn’t mind since Billy always comes back eventually. Until one day, he didn’t. At first, we didn’t notice the absence of Billy since he was always a quiet-to-himself type of person. We never knew what he did in his free time while Bibble and I go to Imaginary Friend City nor did we know what he did in general. Bibble always wanted to do a hair makeover on Billy but he was strongly against it every time Bibble tried convincing Billy. We don’t know the reason behind it except that Billy’s previous owner hated mostly everything about fun and play.
“That’s it!” said Bibble, “We must find Billy, he must be in danger otherwise he would’ve been back by now. It’s been a whole week!”
I shook my head and agreed with Bibble hopping on Bibble’s magical star. Billy was a quiet creature but he was always willing to help others. For instance, when I was trying to make a star cake for Bibble’s 50th birthday it started with disaster! I almost burnt his house down trying to make a cake and when that didn’t work out Billy was the one that fixed it. When I tried putting party decorations up, and nearly tore down his house, Billy was the one that fixed it. When Bibble sprained his arm for a month, the person constantly touching up his hair was Billy. Maybe we have taken Billy for granted and we only noticed when Billy was gone when we needed him. Bibble must have realized the same thing because he looked at me with a feeling of deep sorrow in his eyes. During the whole ride, it was silence, none of us muttered a word, greatly disappointed by what we had done.
We eventually found Billy on a tree looking at the stars. Bibble and I approached Billy slowly, apologizing countless times. Billy said that we shouldn’t be sorry for anything since we didn’t do anything wrong. Deep down, however, we knew that what we did was unacceptable. The next day after we broke Billy back home, Bibble and I devised a plan full of fun. First thing in the morning Bibble would make star cakes for all of us, afterward we would go to Star Beach Cove to get their finest star cream and then go shopping with Billy. Billy looked like he wasn’t enjoying anything throughout the whole day. When Bibble asked what was wrong, Billy sighed and looked away. At the end of the day when Bibble asked Billy once more, Billy confessed saying that the doesn’t know how to play. Bibble smiled and answered, “Play has no definite way of doing, it is up to your imagination. There is no right or wrong way of playing besides not playing at all.” Billy looks unsure but then Bibble comforts Billy once more, not to worry about the black and white but to focus on the path Billy chooses.
