There are a total of six realms in the world of Sky – technically eight – if you count Home and Aviary Village, However, I’m talking about the six main realms; Isle of Dawn, Daylight Prairie, Hidden Forest, Valley of Triumph, Golden Wasteland, and Vault of Knowledge. Each has its own unique Elder watching over the spirits of the realm including us, better known as Sky Kids. No, we’re not the same or alike, as we all have different features we like to express ourselves in. As for Moths, well…they have just begun their journey, so they look exactly alike 99% of the time – brown capes.
There is something special about the Eye of Eden that I didn’t mention at first. It would count as the ninth realm of Sky, the penultimate among all the realms combined. Upon entering, you are stepping into a world that has only ever known darkness the color of blood red. Dark Dragons – some may think they look cute and refer to them as Krills – burning rock rain, and polluted water all out there to drain your winged light. The Eye of Eden shows the most signs of decay and destruction more than any realms combined.
Thus, it’s recommended that Sky Kids enter this realm with a friend or two, though it is not uncommon for some to go in by themselves. I’m not new to entering by my lonesome, either, but I have gone in sometimes with a few friends and even made new friends while we all struggled to avoid the red eyes of Dark Dragons. Since I’d prefer not to refer to the Sky Kid as “me,” I will call them N, from their initial.
N has been through the Eye of Eden plenty of times already, so it was not such a surprise when they walked upon a red sky filled with jagged rocks and Krills at nearly every corner. It was a normal run – walk slowly against the wind, hide behind walls of rock, check for a light source, and don’t get hit in the face with a boulder. The most important thing was the light – if it ran out, there would be no chance. N’d be dead before they even got to the center of where Eden really lies.
When strangers are around you, you can’t see their features as you are not friends with them at the moment. They appear as gray silhouettes, just trying to pass through the same realm as you. It was nearing the cave guarded by another Dark Dragon when two candles were lit and N had their eyes laid on another Sky Kid. A moth, with a brown cape. There was an average chance of seeing moths go into Eden alone because frankly, they had no idea what they were doing.
So, abandoning the thought of saving up candles to buy more cosmetics, N decided to spend a candle to friend this particularly curious moth and help them through Eden. They were already at the cave near the center, now only came a bit of a challenge: crossing the cave without being spotted by that giant red eye. The annoying slaps of wind made this even more difficult than it should have been.
N and “Moth” made it across, despite being hit on the head with some flying boulders zooming across the corner. It was now in this cave where a collection of WInged Light would be absorbed by their capes, only to have it spent on children who had already spent their last moments walking to the end of Eden.
Here, the rock rain increases in milliseconds. N spends some more candles on “emotes” to express themselves to Moth, aiming to reach their chat node, only to discover they did not speak English! Their chat bubble popped up in Japanese, causing N to scamper around for a translator. It took some AFK moments to finally get a translator on N’s keyboard to convert their words to the same language as Moth, but Moth seemed to have the same problem, so they also translated their words into English.
This was N’s first time assisting someone from a different country as, even speaking in another language they’d have to pull out their translator. However, the experience proved to be worth the wait, as a new bond was made between N and Moth. The rest of the way through Eden’s wraths, there was a step, a chat, a honk of light, a step, a chat, and the cycle repeated.
Moth would later introduce themselves as “Haru,” and both they and N still keep in touch to this day, although they do not see each other as often anymore.
