When can we all take a break

As i read throught the pages of All quiet on the western front, I wonder about this question.  In the war with all its chaos comes the constant barrage of shells and the cries of fallen comrades, is there ever a moment to rest.

Paul and his friends, the characters in the book are jus like me a teenager. They are still thinking og the horrors of the battle. But in a world torn apart by conflict. Where survival is the main goal. Would they ever find any peace.

Through the eyes of Paul, We see the toll that the war takes on the human mind. It strips away our innocence, leaving behind scars in our memory that will ever go away. But through all these memories there is a little bit of laughter and joy with friends during this war.

So When can we take a break?Maybe it isnt about eexcaping the war, but rather finding moments of joy during the war that we cant always take for granted. Like paul and his teamates sharing cigarettes in the darkness, we can find friendliness in the small gestures of other people.
