Jacque Bombini Needs Some Sleep

Everyday is the same for Jacque Bombini. He rarely has time to himself, always having something going on in his life. During the day Jacque goes out to get a nice coffee and walks around saying hello to everyone he knows. After that he would go over to his friend Marcus’s place to borrow some books since he had already finished the weekly books his friend gave him. Carrying the books back to his home was always heavy work but he loved the reward of reading them as soon as he got back. When night fell he would go back to his friend Marcus’s house and they’d decide where to go for the night. Usually they’d like to party somewhere close to one of their houses so it wouldn’t be a long walk back but the best ones are always far away. But every time as soon as he arrives to one of the parties he’s always bombarded by people to help them fall asleep, that being his job. He doesn’t want to agree but does anyways because he feels bad. Once it reaches 12, he then goes to do his job, where people call him and he has to fly to their homes to help them fall asleep. It’s the same schedule usually, fly there, help them sleep, and move on to the next person. but this night it was different.

Jacque got to his second clients house and flew through the window as requested by the client. As soon as he got there the client was already in their bed waiting to sleep. Jacque wasn’t surprised by this so he walked over to the client with a friendly smile and closed their eyes to help them fall asleep. Jacque then proceeded to say a little chant, sounding like a lullaby to the client, and they fell asleep. Jacuqe then proceeded to walk away assuming he was done with this client. Boy was he wrong. Before leaving he turned around to make sure nothing was out of place when he saw that the client was out of bed. This frustrated out Jacque slightly because he thought that the spell just didn’t work and assumed he should try something different. He walked over to the client and noticed they were in fact asleep. Surprised by this he led the client back to bed, tucked them in tightly, said another chant, and watched to see what happened.

At first nothing happened and thinking he was in the clear proceeded to head towards the window again. The client then sprang up out of bed and walked away again. Frustrated Jacque quickly went to grab the client and led them to bed again. He did the process again and waited again. The client kept on getting up every single time. He had to do everything over and over again until the sun came up and Jacque realized he didn’t get to his other clients. Having finally tucked the client in tight enough to the point he didn’t have to worry about them getting up again he walked to the window and flew off. He was frustrated, tired, and angry right now. All he wanted to do was go home and get some rest hoping to forget this terrible experience. But little did he know it would become his favorite memory and a thing him and Marcus would joke about often from then on.
