Life is all about explorations and experiences, which occur through our cycle of growth. As we start as a young, naive child, our experiences are based solely upon what our parents allow us to do. The playground for example. It was our main source of play. There were slides, swings, and monkey bars in all different colors. It was a joyous and diverse place for us to be. We were able to express ourselves and run freely through the different landscapes whether that be the fields or sand.
As we begin to grow older and find the things that interest us, we begin to take our lead. Our freedom grows as we mature. We begin to find the people who bring us joy and the things that pique our interest. Our form of “play” transforms, but the same goal still occurs. We explore life and gain new experiences.
As life continues to go on, school and work begin to consume our lives. We start to have less time to play, explore, and experience, and instead, have to focus on our responsibilities. Even though that sets aside less freedom to do as we enjoy, we still have to make room for it. What’s life if we can’t have fun and bring our inner childhood out? Sounds boring doesn’t it?
Even when time begins to become sparse and we are constantly consumed with the duties of school and work, we should never forget to set aside time to explore and experience life. After all, that’s what life is all about.
