Discrimination has been a major problem in today’s society as well as in the past. After the Japanese empire attacked Pearl Harbor many Japanese families were displaced from their homes and forced into camps. George Takei describes his experience and perspective in the novel “They Called Us Enemy”. Asian Americans were discriminated against again in 2020 when the pandemic came around. People were told “Go back to your country” and were bashed online as well. This shows that discrimination against Asian Americans has happened for a long time and is a problem that needs a solution. However, we shouldn’t resolve this problem only for Asian Americans. We should stop discrimination for all people.
