Scratch Weights
1 day out, 10 pounds over. CIF doesn’t allow you to cut this much weight, this late. But if you aren’t cheating in some way, then you don’t want it enough. That’s what my coach said. Not to promote cheating but to promote effort. Effort is all it takes. Can’t give up. Not now, not ever. 

New Kid in Town
It’s quiet and peaceful, the town I live in. Most call it boring but I call it home. There was a small house down by the end of the main road. For the most part, it was vacant except for the occasional maintenance people who came by. That was until a family moved in which was quite rare considering their size. Marcus the new kid, is the youngest of his 4 siblings but carries the most energy. He was different. He never got super close with anyone but he never held a frown. And from that, we appreciated the light he brought to our sleepy town.
