Life can be stressful sometimes, we, as humans, need time for ourselves and a way to escape from our problems (momentarily of course, we need to work too). Everyone has their own way of escaping reality and having time for themselves, whether that’d be drawing, playing sports, sleeping, hanging out with friends, and etc.; the possibilities are endless. One of the ways I spend my time resting is by playing video games. Sometimes I can feel overwhelmed by projects, tests, homework, and social life; having to keep up with so many things can leave me stressed out, feeling like I’ve gotten so many things to do at this time and that time. But the way I’ve found to minimize the stresses was games. I’ve always enjoyed playing video games, even as a little kid. Playing games gave me an objective to do without having a deadline to meet. I can play a game without feeling stressed out about when to finish it. I also found games as a way to get closer with friends and have fun. I remember having bad days at schools with so many stresses but then throwing them all away temporarily by hopping on a game with my friends to have some laughs. And in elementary school, there would be that awkward phase on the first day of school with your friends because you haven’t seen each other since the last day of school; but when we found out that you can play with your friends online, all the awkwardness was gone. Playing video games is my way of having fun without the unnecessary stressful burdens on me. I could be in my own world playing a video game, with 0 problems existing in it.

I enjoy playing games like any other teenager because its a fun way to forget your stresses. But another way that I like to relax and have time for myself is to sleep, or to just stay in bed. I really enjoy sleeping; I like staying cozy in bed and its also another way for me to ignore my stresses. I think its a great way to rekindle your energy for the rest of the day without feeling like you’ve wasted time procrastinating after school. If I don’t have time to play games but still have homework to do, then I’ll have a nap so I can focus on my work later on in the day, as opposed mindlessly going through my work with 0 care. I also try to make sure I get enough sleep because I know some people (especially kids my age) don’t get the right amount of sleep that they need. And I hate feeling sleepy during school because then I don’t focus which leads to me not knowing anything for homework which then leads to more stress; its a cycle.
