My short thoughts on the whole school play day

Baron Play Day is a day for many students to have a full period to relax and chill before the weekends but it’s not for everyone. First are what I think are the negatives in the whole school play day. For me, I don’t like it because it’s half of the school, so sometimes I can’t find my friends in the crowd. The Table tennis racket is bad because it’s so light, but it works for some who don’t regularly play so they can adjust more. I think this probably puts more stress on me than doing regular homework. We have to leave our backpacks back in the classroom, even though we have to take them to the next period. The library is closed so when people would rather study, they can’t. The board games are always first come first serve, and the books they lay out have so many words that I don’t know what it’s even about.

The positive for the play day is that if I don’t have anything to do, I can just walk and look around so I can get my steps in. (depressing). It can be good for stress relieving and be good for after I get out of my most boring classes. There is a book selection and board games at least. It feels good to be outside for an hour because most of my classes make me stay inside most of the time. It’s on a Friday so it can really help lighten the mood and remind you, “Today’s the day you get out of school for 3 days again”. It can be fun when I meet up with my friends, but it is always fun when I’m with friends so I don’t think that counts.

In the end, it’s just a gamble for me. I would probably rather be inside than mindlessly walking around looking for something fun to do. It’s like shopping for me, I just tag along. I don’t buy anything unless I really need it and if I do then it’s not with my own money. I think I remember almost falling asleep in the sun one time but it might have been because I didn’t get enough sleep.

\THE END/
