Life, A word that is so meaningful, but overlooked, and everyone has their own definition about it. The meaning of life to me is not a sprint, but a marathon. Not a game, but a changelle. Everyone is always trying to speed through and beat what they see as a game, however, what happens after this game? No one really knows, it may be blank darkness, or maybe an awaiting palace. That is why it is important to spend the time you have here on earth as best as possible and cherish the little moments you might have left with your loved ones.
Let say your bank was given 86,400 dollars each day, and at the end of each day, the amount resets back to 86,400 dollars. Wouldn’t you want to spend the money as best as possible everyday? Each dollar represents a second of your day, and everytime a second goes by, you can’t get it back. This opens up a new perspective that time is money and you should spend this time with the ones that make you happy and better yourself.
I once saw this youtube video, and students were told to line up to race for $100. The man would make a couple statements, and if it applied to them, then they would take a step forward before the race. He would ask questions like, take a step forward if you have a father figure at home, take a step forward if you had access to a private education. Every statement that he has made had nothing to do what the students have done, nothing to do with the decision they made, yet some other students didn’t take any steps forward. After all the questions, the lucky students brought into this world had a head start. Although it might seem unfair, it’s reality, however everyone has to run their race. That video described life, kids that were brought into rich families had a head start on becoming successful.
In life, money is everything, it solves problems, gets you and your family fed, and makes sure there’s a roof over your head. However, if you were asked to, would you rather be poor and happy or rich and unhappy. Many would say poor and happy, but there will be no alternatives to when you become sad. Being rich gives more opportunity for happiness and it’s the sad truth. Now you want to get rich, but how? You must be curious and filled with questions because the more you ask, the more you know. Curiosity brings knowledge and knowledge brings success and power.
I couldn’t tell you how it feels to wake up not knowing when your next meal is. What I can tell you is that life is short. As time goes by, life shortens, so don’t spend those valuable minutes worrying and stressing, instead be grateful for the air you have in your lungs and the blood you have in your body.
I really liked your writing style and the message you are trying to tell through your writing. I also think that we should cherish every moment that we have as life is just too short. I try to live life to the fullest and not worry about many things, but sometimes I have been told that I don’t worry enough. Do you think one can really not worry enough?
