To start off, each character is different in their own way and they struggle with their own problems which also ties into why they formed a band together to perform at the festival. The problems that each one of them are going through are relatable and many people empathize with them. An example of this is that a guitarist in the band, Sayo, deals with being in the shadow of her sister and wants to perform well and practice a lot since her sister is always better than her at everything she does. The bassist, Lisa, wants to support her best friend who’s the main singer, however she feels like she is not good enough compared to the rest of the band and compares herself a lot to the other members’ skill.

Even though they do struggle with these issues, they like to have fun too. This manga reminds me of another popular manga “K-On!” and they share a lot of similarities. Both mangas are about a band of high schoolers who want to become aspiring musicians. What I really like about both of them is that they both don’t have fan service and we can see their friendships they’re both music themed.

The band and characters have very unique designs too. Even though they do wear their school uniform in a lot of manga, their casual clothes and their costumes are very beautiful. The bassist is called a gyaru a lot due to the way she dresses and her nails and make-up. The drummer’s style is very quirky and reminds me of scene/emo style. On the other hand, the singer and the keyboardist dress more formally and wear corsets and white button ups. To add on, the guitarist dresses more casual and basic compared to the others. Overall, each band member is unique and very different from each other, yet they all share the same goal and will achieve it together.
