Many people go through life without really going anywhere.
Now you might be thinking that this is a contradiction, but think about it. For me, my life most days is a never ending cycle: School. Practice. Homework. Repeat. I never really stop to think what I am doing, but just continue to go through the motions.
Lets look specifically at school. My inspiration for this comes from Mr. Theriault. One class period during a lecture, he mentioned that if we don’t feel inspired to go to school each day, which is a normal feeling, we should find a reason to want to come to school, whether it be a class or activity we are participating in. I am a sophomore this year, so in reality, I only really have 2 more years of schooling after this, and then life is going to get more challenging. I’m going to have to decide what I want to do for the rest of my life and where I want to go to help me pursue that, so I need to cherish these last couple years. Of course I should be concerned about my grades, but at the same time, I need to be present and not put so much pressure on myself, rather enjoy life. If we are always living in the future and focus on preparing for the future, we will miss what is happening right now.
“Don’t cry over the past,
Its Gone
Don’t stress about the future,
It hasn’t arrived
Live in the present moment,
Make it beautiful.“

Now not everyone has this same schedule. For some it could just be School. Homework. Repeat. But take the time to ask yourself: Is this what I want? Because you are never going to get “this” again.
