Nobody’s Invincible

“And nobody’s invincible”

“Because I know people die”

It used to be unthinkable,

I had admired the stars in the sky,

High on top our hill with my friend,

Life seemed so liveable,

One day I was waiting,

Standing until my knees began to sway,

I stood there almost invisible,

It should have been predictable,

I guess I shouldn’t pretend,

The hill became lonely in the end,

“Guess this is the hill I will die on”
